Without them, there would be continual chaos in the Field, in the Force, and nature doesn’t work that way.
Homeostasis is required in our bodies, for our survival, and it is required in nature. Everything living was created with balance as the foundation. Nothing in nature is accidental. Nature doesn’t know how to fail. When something is taken out of balance, forces exist to restore order.
It is a dynamic process that requires constant monitoring of all systems to detect changes, and mechanisms that react to those changes, to restore stability.
There are three components to homeostatic regulation in animals: the receptor, the control center, and the effector. This is happening all around us, all the time. Receptors are constantly surveilling conditions to detect changes that take conditions outside the normal range, away from a set point. The control centers receive and process the information from the receptors and give commands to the effectors on how to respond. Think of this like how the thermostats in our homes operate; its job is to maintain a set point.
Why is homeostasis critical? The Biology Dictionary states “The failure of homeostatic regulation in just one body system will cause conditions to deteriorate and it may be fatal. For the health of an organism, all homeostatic regulation mechanisms must function properly.” The universe is a living organism, which is why laws exist outside of our control to maintain stability.
For example, when you raise the importance of “needing” something to happen, you’re:
(a) making a desired outcome conditional, which creates resistance in itself, and
(b) you’re creating imbalance by generating that resistance.
Energetically, you are drawing to you forces that create challenges and obstacles with the intention of lowering the importance of the “thing” you have made so important. They will continue to be thrown on your path until you let go. The counterforce will not stop until balance is restored. Once you resign, the solution or answer can present itself.
If we’re striving towards something, a goal, it will flow to us much easier when we release the baggage we’re dragging behind us and on our backs first. Baggage consists of faulty belief systems (around money, success, love), negative people, chasing “things”, looking for happiness outside of ourselves, etc.
When we live in balance, we can create.
